Speech Therapy

Speech Language Pathologies: Speech therapists provide students the skills they need to succeed in their adult placements. This is done by helping the students to communicate basic needs that they may use every day. They provide these services in a natural setting such as school and community.

  • Help students learn etiquette as they provide therapy during a lunch group where they practice communication during a family style lunch.
  • Help students communicate wants and needs throughout the day
  • Assist teachers as they create student individual schedules
  • Teach students how to communicate choices throughout the day to help alleviate potential behavior problems, express interests, and ask for help
